BEIS Grants £10 Million to Glosten and Partners for 2MW Floating Wind Turbine Demonstrator

The UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has granted £10 million to SENSEWind, Glosten, and Subsea Micropiles to build a 2MW floating wind turbine demonstrator off the coast of Scotland.

R/V David Packard Construction Kicks Off with Keel Laying Ceremony

Dutra Launches Second Glosten-Designed Split-Hull Hopper Barge

Dutra Dredging launched their second Glosten-designed split-hull hopper barge this summer, two years after its predecessor, the ES15. The MS16 and ES15 echo the original design we delivered in 1995 with some important updates, including all-new hydraulics from Price Engineering and compliance with the latest ABS requirements prior to their construction at Corn Island Shipyard and Gunderson.

Oscilla Power Launches the Triton-C Wave Energy Converter

Kiewit Launches the SAS 2601 and 2602

Kiewit has successfully launch of two new split-hull hopper barges: SAS 2601 and 2602. Glosten provided the design for the sister vessels, which were built at Corn Island Shipyard, and Price Engineering supplied the cylinders, winch, and hydraulic and controls systems.

First Ollis-Class Ferry En Route to Staten Island

The first Ollis-class Staten Island Ferry is officially en route to New York City. Glosten supported the construction of the SSG Michael H. Ollis as owner’s representative through contract design, shipyard qualification and selection, bid review and contract negotiations, construction oversight, testing, and trials.
