R/V David Packard Construction Kicks Off with Keel Laying Ceremony

Construction for the R/V David Packard officially kicked off last Thursday with a keel laying ceremony at Freire Shipyard. Our on-site engineers, William Moon and Isabel Goñi-McAteer joined Michael Kelly of MBARI to celebrate this project milestone.

Dutra Launches Second Glosten-Designed Split-Hull Hopper Barge

Dutra Dredging launched their second Glosten-designed split-hull hopper barge this summer, two years after its predecessor, the ES15. The MS16 and ES15 echo the original design we delivered in 1995 with some important updates, including all-new hydraulics from Price Engineering and compliance with the latest ABS requirements prior to their construction at Corn Island Shipyard and Gunderson.

Kiewit Launches the SAS 2601 and 2602

Kiewit has successfully launch of two new split-hull hopper barges: SAS 2601 and 2602. Glosten provided the design for the sister vessels, which were built at Corn Island Shipyard, and Price Engineering supplied the cylinders, winch, and hydraulic and controls systems.
