The Ocean Class research vessel offers outstanding science handling abilities – equipped with a full suite of acoustic transducers, dynamic positioning, and broad-band data transmission capability, enabling it to carry out multi-disciplinary field observations in ice-free waters anywhere within an ocean basin.
The vessel hull is optimized to reduce resistance and bubble sweepdown and increase fuel efficiency. Other features include a retractable centerboard, underwater radiated noise mitigation, an uncontaminated seawater system, and trace elements sampling.
