The MP-124 is an ocean-capable multi-purpose tugboat with a large, flat working deck and a fully offset wheelhouse. It combines the most desirable features of the European-style multi-purpose designs with the hull form of an oceangoing line haul tug. This combination enables MP-124 to support offshore installation projects in a unique way—both by towing barges to and from offshore locations, and carrying out cable splicing and/or anchor-handling operations onsite. With dynamic positioning capability, MP-124 can also be used for transloading deck-stowed cargoes and equipment.
