Coastal Class

The Coastal Class research vessel is the standard vessel class for multidisciplinary oceanography within a local ocean region. The concept can be easily adapted to meet the individual mission profiles of different regions and operating institutions.

Glosten’s Coastal Class was designed for mission flexibility and may be set up for multiple mission profiles and adapted to new missions. This is accomplished via multiple winch options, deck sockets for flexible arrangements of special equipment, and provision to support up to two science vans. The diesel electric plant is flexible and upgradable to hybrid or alternative fuels.
