At 78-feet in length, this scow is capable of transporting dredge spoils for inland and ocean service without the need for a load line and is ideal for marinas and tight construction sites.
The design features a unique watertight seal between the hulls that eliminates the loss of dredge spoils during towing. Our hinge and cylinder systems are robustly designed to meet the rigorous operational demands of the hopper barge over its life span. Hinge pins can be removed to allow transport in two halves across the country or to landlocked sites via rail or over-the-road trucking. The scow can also be outfitted with an air-over-oil accumulator, which is charged dock-side, to operate the barge emission free.
